Limburg United (#5) forced the game against Okapi Aalstar (#3) into an overtime, but lost by one point 108-109 on Friday night. The game took place in Limburg. But the guests from Aalst were better at the end. Limburg United was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 18-11 charge of Okapi Aalstar, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-9. The best player for the winners was American point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 24 points and 5 assists. The other American import point guard Jerime Anderson (187-89, college: UCLA) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. Hans Vanwijn (205-95) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and American Scott Thomas (198-89, college: Bowling Green, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 22 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Limburg United's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Okapi Aalstar maintains third position with 6-4 record having just three points less than leader Oostende. Limburg United at the other side dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. Okapi Aalstar will face league's second-placed Spirou Charleroi on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Limburg United will play against Kangoeroes (#10) and hope to win that game.
