NBB top team - Paschoalotto/Bauru (8-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Sao Jose/Vinac (3-5) 104-74. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 104-74. Paschoalotto/Bauru dominated on the defensive end, holding Sao Jose/Vinac to just 7 points in third quarter. They shot 68.0 percent from the field and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Sao Jose/Vinac 30-15 including a 28-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Paschoalotto/Bauru have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Paschoalotto/Bauru went down to second position due to points difference. Sao Jose/Vinac lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with five games lost. Paschoalotto/Bauru will meet at home Universo/Vitoria (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sao Jose/Vinac will play against the league's leader Paulistano and hope to secure a win.
