Regular Season Round 10: Tarvas - TTU 70-61

Rather expected game when 8th ranked TTU (3-8) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked BC Rakvere (5-5) 70-61 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 20-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. BC Rakvere outrebounded TTU 48-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. American forward David Haughton (198-91, college: Purchase) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Latvian guard Reinis Strupovics (190-87) chipped in 23 points during the contest. BC Rakvere's coach Andres Sober used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the losing side the former international forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Toomas Raadik (201-90, agency: Promotex) scored 13 points. BC Rakvere have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser TTU keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. BC Rakvere will have a break next round. TTU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tallinn to the arena TLU/Kalev.
