Regular Season Round 11: Aros Leon - Oviedo 99-47

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Aros Leon (8-3) rolled over at home 13th ranked Oviedo (1-10) 99-47 on Saturday. The game without a history. Aros Leon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oviedo to just 7 points in first and second quarters and to 14 points in first half. They outrebounded Oviedo 42-19 including a 25-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Aros Leon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. American power forward Aulani Sinclair (186-90, college: Indiana) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Power forward Itsaso Conde (185-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Aros Leon players scored in double figures. Aros Leon's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Carolina Ramos (-93) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Eva Oliva (176-92) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Oviedo. Aros Leon moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with C.Adelantados and Adareva. Oviedo lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Aros Leon will face ADBA (#14) in Aviles in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Oviedo will play at home against Aragon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
