Important game to mention about took place in Tbilisi. Fifth ranked Olimpi (4-4) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Sokhumi (5-4) 70-69 on Saturday evening. Sokhumi was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 24-20 charge of Olimpi, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American guard Jeremy Bynum (193-88, college: Jacksonville St.) who saved his team from a defeat with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Kakhaber Tomaradze (193-95) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Bynum is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Olimpi players scored in double figures. Olimpi's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. International Levan Patsatsia (198-88, college: Troy) answered with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Giorgi Jgerenaia (206-90, college: N.Georgia) added 13 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Sokhumi. Olimpi maintains fifth place with 4-4 record. Sokhumi at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Dinamo Tbilisi. Olimpi will play against league's second-placed Batumi on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sokhumi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi MIA.
