Very predictable result when third ranked Ethnikos (7-2) beat on the road 14th ranked Pefkohori (2-6) 85-75 on Saturday. Ethnikos made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Fotis Vasilopoulos (187-86) who scored 21 points and 8 assists. Power forward Andronikos Gizogiannis (200-83, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Ethnikos players scored in double figures. Swingman Giorgos Theodorakos (198-88) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian guard Stefan Nikolic (193-87) added 18 points respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Ethnikos. Despite that victory Ethnikos went down to fourth position due to points difference. Pefkohori lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with six games lost. Ethnikos will face Iraklis (#8) in Thessaloniki in the next round.
