Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked UCAM Murcia II (4-6) was defeated at home by fifth ranked L`Alfas (5-4) 75-61 on Saturday. L`Alfas outrebounded UCAM Murcia II 46-35 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Belarusian power forward Ivan Zhauniarovich (205-86) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Iker Benzazoua chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Lleon Tillman (198-92, college: W.Alabama) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and American-Nigerian point guard David Fatoki (178, college: Wash.-St.Louis, agency: Duran International) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted L`Alfas maintains fifth place in Group E with 5-4 record. Loser UCAM Murcia II dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. L`Alfas will face Cartagena (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. UCAM Murcia II will play against the league's second-placed Almassera (#2) in Valencia and hope to win that game.
