There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Real Madrid II (3-5) won against at home higher ranked Torrelodones (4-4) 63-46 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Real Madrid II's pressure prevailed and they won that period 18-8 extending their advantage to 17 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Torrelodones to just 4 points in third quarter and to 12 points in second half. The best player for the winners was point guard Daniel De La Rua (181-97) who scored 13 points and 5 assists. Senegalese power forward Samba Thiago Ndiaye (202-98) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Real Madrid II's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Javier Salson (199-82, college: Bloomfield, agency: Duran International) produced 11 points and 5 rebounds and Jordan Djounorou added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Real Madrid II moved-up to ninth place in Group B, which they share with Estudiantes B. Newly promoted Torrelodones dropped to the sixth position with four games lost.
