Regular Season Round 12: Omegna - Agropoli 98-93 OT
Date: December 12, 2015
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Agropoli (9-4) against fourteenth ranked Omegna (4-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Agropoli was defeated by Omegna in a tough game in Omegna in overtime93-98. It looked good early as Agropoli took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Omegna had a 30-25 second period charge getting the lead. Then Agropoli managed to tie the game at the end of regular time, but lost overtime period 11-16. Omegna made 30-of-33 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. 30 personal fouls committed by Agropoli helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American guard Keon Moore (196-92, college: Winthrop, agency: Two Points) who scored that evening 32 points and 6 steals and the former international swingman Andrea Casella (197-90) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 39 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds by naturalized Canadian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) did not help to save the game for Agropoli. The former international guard Riccardo Santolamazza (194-83) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Omegna maintains fourteenth position in A2 with 4-9 record. Newly promoted Agropoli dropped to the second place with four games lost. Omegna's next round opponent will be higher ranked FCM Ferentino (#6) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Agropoli will play against Novipiu Casale (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
