Regular Season Round 11: Pardinyes-L. - Igualada 84-78

There was a surprise result in Lleida where tenth ranked Pardinyes-L. (4-7) defeated higher ranked Igualada (5-6) 84-78 on Saturday. Pardinyes-L. made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Igualada was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Pau Lopez (181-84) who scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Forward Pol Domingo (198-90) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Miquel Moliner (177-90) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and Carles Fons (188-91) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Pardinyes-L. moved-up to eighth place in Group C-B, which they share with Castellbisbal and Andorra II. Igualada lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Pardinyes-L. will face higher ranked Miramar (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Igualada will play against Castelldefels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
