Rather expected game when 7th ranked Townsville Crocodiles (6-12) lost to fifth ranked Adelaide 36ers (8-9) in Findon 66-76 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-66. Adelaide 36ers made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Townsville Crocodiles only scored six points from the stripe. It was a very good performance for American-Ukrainian point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws). The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (210-88, college: Pepperdine) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Egyptian-American center Omar Samhan (211-88, college: St.Mary's, CA) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Jordair Jett (188-91, college: St.Louis) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Townsville Crocodiles. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Adelaide 36ers maintains fifth position with 8-9 record. Townsville Crocodiles at the other side keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Adelaide 36ers will have a break next round. Townsville Crocodiles will play at home against the league's leader Perth Wildcats (#1) and hope to win that game.
