Regular Season Round 10: Franca - Mogi 88-90

The most exciting game of round 10 in the NBB took place in Sao Paulo. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Vivo/Franca (5-4) to seventh ranked Mogi (5-3) 90-88 in the game for the fifth place. Mogi made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. The former international point guard Larry Taylor (185-80, college: Missouri Western) scored 30 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American Shamell Stallworth (195-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Welington Dos Santos (185-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists and the former international Bruno Irigoyen (196-92) scored 22 points. Four Mogi and five Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. Mogi moved-up to fifth place. Vivo/Franca at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Mogi are looking forward to face Liga Sorocaba (#14) in Sorocabana in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vivo/Franca will play at home against SKY/Basquete (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
