Regular Season Round 15: BC Nokia - Kouvot 88-67

The game between third ranked Kouvot (10-6) and ninth ranked BC Nokia (5-9) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Kouvot was crushed by BC Nokia in Nokia 88-67. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great evening for Serbian power forward Dragan Labovic (207-87, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. American forward David Kravish (208-92, college: California) helped adding 12 points and 11 rebounds. Five BC Nokia players scored in double figures. BC Nokia's coach Oliver Vidin felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Thomas Gipson (201-93, college: Kansas St.) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard D.J. Richardson (190-91, college: Illinois) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Newly promoted BC Nokia maintains ninth place with 5-9 record. Kouvot at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. BC Nokia are looking forward to face league's second-placed Joensuun Kataja at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kouvot will play against Tampereen Pyrinto and is hoping to win this game.
