Regular Season Round 11: Salt - JAC Sants 83-72

There was a minor upset when 3rd placed JAC Sants (6-5) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Salt (5-5) 83-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Salt. JAC Sants was better in third quarter 24-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded JAC Sants 43-32 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Genis Bover (201-91) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Xavier Torrent (176-90) chipped in 19 points. point guard Marc Pages (178-95) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Aitor Perez (202-88) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Salt moved-up to fifth place in Group C-A. Loser JAC Sants keeps the third position with five games lost. Salt will face Masnou (#7) in Barcelona in the next round. JAC Sants will play on the road against Arenys (#6) in Arenys del Mar and hope to win that game.
