Regular Season Round 24: Kanazawa Samuraiz - Shinshu BW 75-70

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Shinshu BW (6-14) lost to seventh ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (12-10) in Ishikawa 70-75 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Shinshu BW won third quarter 23-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Kanazawa Samuraiz won last quarter 20-17. It was a good game for American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) contributed with 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Shinshu BW. Kanazawa Samuraiz have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Yokohama BC. Shinshu BW lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Kanazawa Samuraiz will face higher ranked Toyama Grouses (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Shinshu BW will play against Hiroshima L. (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
