Very predictable result when tenth ranked Scandone AV (5-6) won against bottom-ranked Auxilium TO (2-9) in Avellino 86-79. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Auxilium TO won third quarter 23-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Scandone AV players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Scandone AV's coach Stefano Sacripanti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) produced 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Scandone AV moved-up to ninth place. Auxilium TO lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Scandone AV's next round opponent will be league's leader Vanoli Cremona on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Auxilium TO will play against Banco di Srd (#6) and hope to win that game.
