There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Trieste (5-7) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Treviglio (5-7) 68-64 on Sunday. Trieste was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was the former international center Emanuele Rossi (206-82) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Tommaso Marino (192-86) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jordan Parks (201-94, college: N.C.Central, agency: Two Points) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and Bulgarian swingman Hristo Zahariev (197-90) added 16 points respectively. Treviglio moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Treviglio will face league's leader C.de Latte BRE in Brescia in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
