Everything went according to plan in Trapani where seventh ranked Lighthouse TR (7-5) outleveled 9th ranked Virtus Roma (5-7) 96-74 on Sunday. The game without a history. Lighthouse TR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Keddric Mays (183-84) who scored 41 points (!!!) and 4 assists. The former international power forward Andrea Renzi (208-89, agency: Players Group) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Lighthouse TR's coach Vincenzo Ugo Ducarello felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) who recorded 12 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American Craig Callahan (204-81, college: NC-Wilmington, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lighthouse TR maintains seventh position in A2 with 7-5 record. Loser Virtus Roma dropped to the twelfth place with seven games lost. Lighthouse TR will face Rieti (#8) on the road in the next round. Virtus Roma will play against Latina Basket (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
