ProA top team - ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (10-2) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked JSF Nanterre (7-5) 66-59. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of JSF Nanterre. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a good game for American center Darryl Watkins (211-84, college: Syracuse, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Australian center David Andersen (213-80) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. International center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (208-94) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American point guard Gerald Robinson (185-89, college: Georgia) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for JSF Nanterre. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket maintains first position with 10-2 record. JSF Nanterre at the other side dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Antibes. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket are looking forward to face Le Mans (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. JSF Nanterre will play against Entente Orleans 45 and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
