Regular Season Round 18: Froya Basket - Centrum 60-73

The most important game in the last round took place in Laksevag between third ranked Froya Basket (7-4) and fourth ranked Centrum (7-3) on Sunday night. Froya Basket was defeated by Centrum at home 73-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Froya Basket. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Froya Basket managed to win second period 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Harald Frey (182-97) who scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Point guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) chipped in 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian swingman Juris Umbrasko (197-79) who recorded 25 points and 5 rebounds and forward Arne Ingebrigtsen (197-90, college: Cuesta JC) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Centrum have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Froya Basket at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Centrum are looking forward to face Nidaros Jets (#9) in Tromdheim in the next round where they are favorite. Froya Basket will play at home against the league's leader Ammerud Bskt (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
