Regular Season Round 11: AZS PGd - Trefl II Sopot 68-57

No shocking result in a game in Gdansk where fourth ranked AZS PGd (7-3) defeated 11th ranked Trefl II Sopot (2-8) 68-57 on Sunday. Trefl II Sopot was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Aleksander Lebiedzinski (195-93) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Lukasz Jaskiewicz (202-92) chipped in 21 points. point guard Pawel Dzierzak (186-95) produced 13 points and 4 assists and center Jakub Motylewski (210-95) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for AZS PGd. They moved-up to third place, which they share with AZS PS Gliwice. Trefl II Sopot lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. AZS PGd will face league's leader Kotwica in Kolobrzeg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Trefl II Sopot will play at home against Itago Gdynia (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
