An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hod Hasharon. Second ranked Hapoel Jerusalem faced 4th placed Bnei Hasharon. Guests from Jerusalem (9-2) defeated host Bnei Hasharon (6-5) 81-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bnei Hasharon. Bnei Hasharon was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 22-14 charge of Hapoel Jerusalem, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Hapoel Jerusalem brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. International center D'or Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). International forward Lior Eliyahu (205-85) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Hapoel Jerusalem's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Hapoel Jerusalem have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Ironi Nahariya. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Holon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
