There was a minor upset in Santa Fe where 3rd placed Salta Basket (7-10) was defeated by third ranked Union SF (10-6) 89-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Union SF. Salta Basket was better in fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Center Fernando Podesta (205-92) fired 27 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Alejandro Reinick (203-78) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Union SF players scored in double figures. American forward Aaron Nelson (203, college: S.Indiana, agency: HMS) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Gregorio Eseverri (194-87) added 16 points and 4 steals respectively for lost side.
