Regular Season Round 24: Fukuoka Rizing - Tokyo Cinq R. 98-73

The game between eighth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (9-13) and 12th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-21) in Fukuoka on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Fukuoka Rizing outscored guests from Tokyo 98-73. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Tokyo Cinq R. was better in fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Tokyo Cinq R. turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Fukuoka Rizing's coach Tomohiro Moriyama felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. Senegalese-American center El Hadji Ndieguene (208-90, college: Co.Carolina) replied with 14 points and American center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Five Fukuoka Rizing and four Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing maintains eighth position with 9-13 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost fifteenth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 21 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Aomori Watts (#9) at home in the next round. Tokyo Cinq R. will play against Bambitious Nara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
