No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Catanzaro (8-4) beat on the road 14th ranked Maddaloni (2-10) 68-57 on Sunday. Catanzaro made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Catanzaro outrebounded Maddaloni 37-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for power forward Giacomo Sereni (202-84) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Davide Naso (200-84) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Catanzaro's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Argentinian Juan Manuel Caceres (199-84, agency: Interperformances) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and center Luciano Rusciano (201-83) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Maddaloni. Catanzaro maintains sixth position in B with 8-4 record. Loser Maddaloni dropped to the fifteenth place with ten games lost. Catanzaro will face higher ranked Palestrina (#3) in Roma in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Maddaloni will play on the road against the league's leader Roma E-basket (#1) and hope to win that game.
