Very expected game when 19th ranked Foshan (3-14) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Beijing Ducks (10-7) 117-106. Foshan was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 39-26 charge of Beijing Ducks, which allowed them to win the game. They made 29-of-31 charity shots (93.5 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Foshan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Qingpeng Zhang (187-81) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds and forward Junwei Ren (203-90) added 24 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Foshan. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shandong FB and Zhejiang CB. Foshan lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 14 games lost. Beijing Ducks' next round opponent will be higher ranked Sichuan BW (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Foshan will play against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#7) and hope to win that game.
