There was an upset in Castellanza where higher ranked Legnano (6-6) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Chieti (4-8) 62-57 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 20-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Legnano outrebounded Chieti 41-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Isaiah Armwood (206-90, college: G.Washington) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. The former international forward Marco Allegretti (204-81) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward A.J. Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import Nikolas Raivio (193-86, college: Portland) added 7 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Chieti maintains fourteenth position in A2 with 4-8 record. Loser Legnano dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. Chieti will face league's second-placed Tezenis VE in Verona in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
