An interesting game for Kosovan Bashkimi (3-3) which hosted in Prizren one of their biggest challengers Bulgarian Levski 2014 (2-3). Third ranked Bashkimi had an easy win 94-75. The game was mostly controlled by Bashkimi. Levski 2014 managed to win fourth quarter 32-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Levski 2014 to just 7 points in first quarter. Bashkimi dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Levski 2014's 32. Bashkimi forced 27 Levski 2014 turnovers. Strangely Levski 2014 outrebounded Bashkimi 40-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American-New Zealand forward Marcel Jones (203-85, college: Oregon St., agency: PEPI SPORT) who scored that evening 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and American guard Antabia Waller (188-88, college: Auburn, agency: Three Eye Sports) supported him with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Bashkimi players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds by forward Aleks Simeonov (200-93) did not help to save the game for Levski 2014. Guard Evgeni Hadjirusev (193-95) added 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Levski 2014's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bashkimi maintains third position in Group B with 3-3 record having just one point less than leader Mornar Bar. Levski 2014 lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with three games lost. Bashkimi will meet at home Lovcen (#5) in the next round. Levski 2014 will play against the league's leader Peja and hope to secure a win.
