An interesting game for Shanghai Dahua (16-4) which played road game in Guangzhou against 3rd ranked Guangdong Dolphins (13-7). Second ranked Shanghai Dahua managed to get a 13-point victory 86-73. The game was mostly controlled by Shanghai Dahua. Guangdong Dolphins was better in fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (203-91) had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 20 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Xiufeng Shi (178-87) chipped in 22 points during the contest. Four Shanghai Dahua players scored in double figures. At the losing side Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and international forward Sijing Huang (192-96) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Shanghai Dahua maintains second position in Top 6 with 16-4 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Jiangsu. Guangdong Dolphins at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost.
