Regular Season Round 18: Foshan LL - Zhejiang CB 107-111

There was no surprise when 19th ranked Foshan (3-15) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (11-7) 111-107. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank made 37-of-41 charity shots (90.2 percent) during the game. 35 personal fouls committed by Foshan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was also dominated by American players. Point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) notched 44 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) supported him with 31 points and 12 rebounds. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's coach Ding Wei allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 40 points (!!!) by swingman Jabari Brown (193-92, college: Missouri, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Foshan. Forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) added 17 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Foshan players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Beijing Ducks and Shandong FB. Foshan lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 15 games lost. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's next round opponent will be Qingdao Eagles (#11) at home where they are favorite. Foshan will play against TianJin Steel (#20) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
