Regular Season Round 13: Prat - Castello 101-88

Bottom-ranked CB Prat managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of nine consecutive losses. This time they won against fourth-ranked Castello 101-88. Castello was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 53-36 second half run of CB Prat. They made 22-of-25 charity shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Castello was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Xavier Forcada (194-88) nailed 24 points and 5 assists for the winning side and Montenegrin center Zoran Nikolic (211-96) accounted for 13 points and 10 rebounds. Jamaican-American guard Garfield Blair (196-87, college: Stetson) came up with 17 points and guard Jose Maria Garcia (193-87) added 16 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) respectively for Castello in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. CB Prat maintains sixteenth place with 2-11 record. Castello lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Breogan and FC Barcelona II. CB Prat will play against higher ranked Lobe Huesca (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Castello will play against Cocinas.com and hopes to get back on the winning track.
