Regular Season Round 10: Mgzavrebi - Dinamo Tbilisi 63-84

Date: December 16, 2015
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#4) and Mgzavrebi (#6). Mgzavrebi was smashed at home by 21 points 63-84 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Dinamo Tbilisi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. International center Giorgi Sharabidze (210-90, agency: Mansfield and Associates) notched 29 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Canadian swingman Daniel Williams (192-87, college: N.Mex.Military) supported him with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Dinamo Tbilisi players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) did not help to save the game for Mgzavrebi. American point guard Kaheem Ransom (185, college: Sam Houston St.) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dinamo Tbilisi have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Sokhumi. Loser Mgzavrebi keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi MIA.
