Bendigo Spirit was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. American forward Joslyn Tinkle (190-90, college: Stanford) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds. Her fellow American import center Carolyn Swords (198-89, college: Boston Coll., agency: LBM Management) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Sydney Uni Flames' coach Shannon Seebohm allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Belinda Snell (180-81) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Bendigo Spirit. Sydney Uni Flames maintains second place with 10-4 record behind leader Perth. Bendigo Spirit at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost.
