Regular Season Round 19: Foshan LL - TianJin S. 116-122

Bottom-ranked TianJin Steel managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses on Friday night. This time they won against nineteenth-ranked Foshan 122-116. Foshan was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 38-27 charge of TianJin Steel, which allowed them to win the game. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Jason Maxiell (201-83, college: Cincinnati) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Guard Jordan Crawford (193-88, college: Xavier) accounted for 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winning side. TianJin Steel's coach Qu Guijun allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Jabari Brown (193-92, college: Missouri, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 36 points (!!!) and forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Foshan in the defeat. Four TianJin Steel and five Foshan players scored in double figures. TianJin Steel (3-16) moved-up to nineteenth place, which they share with Foshan LL. Foshan lost sixth consecutive game. TianJin Steel will meet at home higher ranked Beijing Ducks (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Foshan will play against DongGuan Leopards (#9) and hope to secure a win.
