There was a minor upset when 14th ranked Chorale de Roanne (3-6) lost on the road to seventeenth ranked Poitiers (3-6) 91-73 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 52-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Poitiers looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. It was a good game for American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Dominican Jeff Greer (196-79, college: Rutgers) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Poitiers players scored in double figures. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Julien Lesieu (201-83) answered with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Sadio Doucoure (200-92) added 16 points in the effort for Chorale de Roanne. Poitiers moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Chorale de Roanne. Chorale de Roanne lost their third game in a row. Poitiers will face higher ranked Orchesien BC (#11) in Orchies in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
