There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked JA Vichy (4-5) edged 9th ranked Provence Basket (4-5) in Fos-sur-Mer 67-64 on Friday. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 19-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. JA Vichy forced 19 Provence Basket turnovers. Provence Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American point guard Dustin Ware (183-90, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. American-Hungarian power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (203-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 20 points and American center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 9 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Provence Basket.
