Regular Season Round 13: MUKS Poznan - Wisla Krakow 50-77

BLK top team - Wisla Krakow (11-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked MUKS Poznan (3-10) 77-50. The game without a history. Wisla Krakow led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Wisla Krakow forced 20 MUKS Poznan turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wisla Krakow made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Devereaux Peters (187-89, college: Notre Dame) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks. Her fellow American import guard Yvonne Turner (176-87, college: Nebraska) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Renee Taylor (158-85, college: Miami, FL) answered with 17 points and 4 assists and Zaneta Durak (172-89) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for MUKS Poznan. MUKS Poznan's coach Krzysztof Koziorowicz gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-1 record. Newly promoted MUKS Poznan dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Gorzow. Wisla Krakow are looking forward to face AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (#11) in Gorzow Wlkp. in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MUKS Poznan will have a break next round.
