Regular Season Round 12: Mollet - Sant Lluis 69-59

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Mollet as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C-A. Mollet defeated bottom-ranked Sant Lluis at home 69-59. The game was mostly controlled by Mollet. Sant Lluis managed to win fourth quarter 19-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was point guard Albert Ferrer (180-82) who scored 15 points. Point guard Xavier Costa (192-84) chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Mollet's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Alberto Artiles (190-97) who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and Miralles Ibon (-97) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Mollet (10-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Sant Lluis at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with ten games lost. Sant Lluis will play next round against Masnou trying to get back on the winning streak. Mollet will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Barbera in Barcelona.
