Regular Season Round 15: St Vallier - Mulhouse 91-79

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Saint Vallier (10-5) beat at home 11th ranked Mulhouse Basket (7-7) 91-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Saint Vallier. Mulhouse Basket was better in third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saint Vallier looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Mulhouse Basket was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Kyle Cain (201-90, college: NC-Greensboro) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Jonathan Hoyaux (196-88) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. Center Mourad Benkloua (206-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and guard Mathieu Bigote (190-84) added 22 points and 6 assists in the effort for Mulhouse Basket. Saint Vallier have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Lourdes. Mulhouse Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with seven games lost. Saint Vallier will face UB Chartres (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mulhouse Basket will play against Caen and hope to win that game.
