Aishin Wings (#8) forced the game against Toyota B SR (#6) into an overtime, but lost by ten points 82-92 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Aishin Wings. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 21-18 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 10-point victory in overtime. Toyota B SR shot 63.0 percent from the field and made 30-of-32 free shots (93.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Aishin Wings outrebounded Toyota B SR 107-86 including a 70-48 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 26 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Toyota B SR made 230 blocks. Aishin Wings were plagued by 43 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Yui Kawahara (169-91) who led her team to a victory with 27 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Mika Yamanaka (175-88) contributed with 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Toyota B SR players scored in double figures. Toyota B SR's coach Fumikazu Nakagawa used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) answered with 27 points and 8 rebounds and forward Yuka Maeda (173-84) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Aishin Wings. Toyota B SR (10-9) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain sixth place. Aishin Wings at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Toyota B SR will face again Aishin Wings (#8) in Anjo in the next round.
