Regular Season Round 25: Saitama Bron. - Takamatsu FA 67-69

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (3-18) were edged at home by eleventh ranked Takamatsu FA (6-15) 69-67 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 69-67. American forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 23 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) chipped in 7 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side guard Janya Masumoto (183-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard, agency: I.D.S. Law) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Takamatsu FA moved-up to tenth place. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Takamatsu FA will have a break next round. Saitama Broncos will play again at home against Takamatsu FA (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
