Rather expected game when 12th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-23) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Bambitious Nara (7-16) 82-69 on Saturday. Bambitious Nara made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (208-82, college: Colorado) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and American guard Charles Hinkle (196-88, college: American) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Senegalese-American center El Hadji Ndieguene (208-90, college: Co.Carolina) responded with 20 points and American center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Five Bambitious Nara and four Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
