Regular Season Round 11: Kymis - Livadia 92-72

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Kymis (9-1) smashed at home 7th ranked Livadia (4-6) 92-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kymis. Livadia was better in second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Kymis especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian point guard Vaidas Kariniauskas (197-93) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Naturalized Serbian guard Igor Milosevic (193-86, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Kymis' coach Vassilis Bratsiakos used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Kostas Macheras (205-85, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and guard Yannis Gagaloudis (192-78) added 17 points and 12 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Kymis maintains second place with 9-1 record having just three points less than leader Faros. Loser Livadia keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Kymis will face Pagrati (#7) in Athens in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Livadia will play at home against Panerythraikos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
