Regular Season Round 12: Polonia Bytom - Alba Chorzow 93-71

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Polonia Bytom (11-1) crushed at home 6th ranked Alba Chorzow (6-6) 93-71 on Saturday. Polonia Bytom looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Alba Chorzow's players. It was a good game for Emil Podkowinski (194-88) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Point guard Pawel Jurczynski (183-91) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Marcin Weselak (204-79) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and guard Lukasz Wojcik (189-84) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Alba Chorzow. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Polonia Bytom maintains first position in Group C with 11-1 record, which they share with AZS AGH Alstom. Loser Alba Chorzow keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Polonia Bytom will face Pogon RS (#7) in Ruda Slaska in the next round where they are favorite. Alba Chorzow will play at home against MCKiS Jaworz. and hope to win that game.
