No shocking result in a game when second ranked Udine APU (12-1) outleveled on the road 16th ranked Moncalieri (1-12) 90-61 on Saturday. They outrebounded Moncalieri 38-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Udine APU especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Davide Poltroneri (195-85) stepped up and scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and swingman Michele Ferrari (196-86) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Five Udine APU players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Francesco Conti (205-83) responded with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Leone Gioria (194-84) scored 19 points. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Udine APU. They keep a position of B leader, which they share with Orzinuovi GaGa. Moncalieri lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth place with 12 games lost. Udine APU will face Volpino (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Moncalieri will play against Lecco (#7) and hope to win that game.
