The game between third ranked Al Gharafa (6-1) and 6th ranked Al Wakrah (2-5) in Doha on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Al Gharafa outscored guests from Al Wakrah 87-65. The game without a history. Al Gharafa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Al Wakrah's 40. Al Gharafa looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 15 assists and Nigerian-American power forward Manny Adako (203-87, college: Northeastern, agency: Court Side) supported him with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Four Al Gharafa players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds by the former international center Mame Souleye (206-87) did not help to save the game for Al Wakrah. American-Ghanian Adamu Saaka (198-88, college: Furman, agency: Court Side) added 20 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Al Gharafa have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Sadd and Al Jaysh. Loser Al Wakrah keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Al Gharafa's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena .
