The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventeenth ranked Orchesien BC's (3-5) road victory over bottom-ranked Saint-Quentin (2-7) 81-61 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Orchesien BC's pressure prevailed and they won that period 26-12 extending their advantage to 20 points. His fellow American import forward Ronnie Burrell (203-83, college: NC-Greensboro) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Orchesien BC players scored in double figures. Orchesien BC's coach Fabrice Courcier used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Meredis Houmounou (188-88) answered with 8 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Ryan Evans (203-90, college: Wisconsin) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Saint-Quentin. Orchesien BC moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Souffel. Loser Saint-Quentin stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Orchesien BC will face Poitiers (#13) at home in the next round. Saint-Quentin will play against Le Portel (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
