Regular Season Round 9: Boulogne - Nantes 90-89

Date: December 19, 2015
The most exciting game of round 9 in the ProB took place in Boulogne-sur-Mer. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Nantes (5-4) to third ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (7-2) 90-89 on Saturday evening. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 33-20. But Nantes won second period 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American forward Lance Goulbourne (203-89, college: Vanderbilt) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. The former international center Ferdinand Prenom (203-91) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: I.D.S. Law) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Nantes. Four Nantes players scored in double figures. Nantes' coach Franck Collineau rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SO Maritime Boulogne moved-up to second place, which they share with Bourg. Nantes at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. SO Maritime Boulogne is looking forward to face ALM Evreux (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nantes will play against Charleville-Mezieres and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
