Regular Season Round 12: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Hapoel Holon 75-68

Very expected game when 10th ranked Hapoel Holon (3-8) lost to fourth ranked Bnei Hasharon (7-5) in Hod Hasharon 68-75. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 24-17 Hapoel Holon's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 75-68 at the end of the game. Bnei Hasharon brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Hapoel Holon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). The other American import guard Stephen Dennis (198-87, college: Kutztown, agency: HMS) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Will Clyburn (201-90, college: Iowa St.) who recorded 30 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized American power forward Isaac Rosefelt (204-85, college: St.Thomas) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Bnei Hasharon maintains fourth position with 7-5 record. Hapoel Holon lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost. Bnei Hasharon's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv and it may be the game of the week. Hapoel Holon will play at home against Maccabi Rishon (#3) and hope to win that game.
