An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Salamanca. First ranked Perfumerias Avenida faced their biggest opponent Argon Uni Girona. Host Perfumerias Avenida (12-1) smashed guests from Girona (9-4) 74-51. The game without a history. Perfumerias Avenida led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Argon Uni Girona's 14. They outrebounded Argon Uni Girona 35-19 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Perfumerias Avenida especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. The former international point guard Silvia Dominguez (166-87) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists for the winners. The former international guard Leonor Rodriguez Manso (180-91, college: Florida St., agency: Regeneracom Sports) chipped in 18 points. Point guard Noemi Jordana (173-80) produced 14 points and Serbian forward Adrijana Knezevic (183-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Perfumerias Avenida have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-1 record. Argon Uni Girona lost third consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Gernika. Perfumerias Avenida are looking forward to face league's second-placed Conquero in Huelva in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Argon Uni Girona will play on the road against CREF Hola in Madrid and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
